Syft Application Talks 2: Thermal Extraction Directly Coupled to MS for Passive Dosimetry Applications

In this engaging presentation, Dr Mitch Rubenstein and Anthony Qualley first describe the context of their ground-breaking passive dosimetry research and the need for a new analytical approach. They then outline the collaboration with GERSTEL and Syft that made their world-first instrumentation a reality: a custom-built, extra-large GERSTEL automated thermal desorber integrated with a Syft Technologies’ Voice200ultra SIFT-MS instrument! Using this new analytical approach, they present thermal extraction-SIFT-MS data obtained from low-cost passive dosimetry devices, which have potential for monitoring widescale personal exposure.
