The Four Phases of Production

Our production process is divided into four key sub-processes that transform raw components into finished Syft instruments. Let’s break these down:

  1. Assembly: Our assembly teams are comprised of experts in both mechanical and electrical assembly. They meticulously build and bench test sub-assemblies and base instruments using quality-controlled components. This teamwork between assembly, engineering, and supply chain ensures that everything we produce meets our stringent design specifications.

  2. Quality Assurance: Once the assembly is complete, our trained quality team steps in. Every base instrument undergoes rigorous quality checks before moving on to the next phase. This proactive approach helps us catch any issues early and resolve them promptly.

  3. Instrument Testing and Optimization: Instrumentation technicians tune and optimize each instrument for performance in the diverse and challenging environments our customers operate in. Each instrument is subjected to thousands of tests to ensure stability and reliability, with some tests running over several days.

  4. Customization: After thorough testing, we move on to customization based on specific customer requests. Our production scientists install and test closures and sample delivery systems, ensuring that the final product aligns perfectly with customer needs. Our customization team also caters to unique requests, from measuring specific trace gas compounds to conducting additional factory tests.

The Final Quality Check

Before any instrument leaves our facility, it undergoes a final quality check by our dedicated quality team. Although this is the last step, every stage of production includes quality gates, ensuring any potential issues are identified and addressed throughout the build.
