Syft solutions go mobile

A Dutch-based company has implemented an innovative mobile solution for detection of fumigants in shipping containers. This solution uses a vehicle-based Voice200 instrument, and is attracting a lot of media attention.

Syft 's Benelux -based Distributor, Interscience BV, has delivered the mobile solution to a commercial service provider for testing and certification of shipping containers at the Port of Rotterdam.

A Voice200 instrument has been integrated into a van to deliver mobile fumigant testing for shipping containers as they are imported into the Netherlands.

Studies have shown that over 30% of containers have residual fumigants inside. Syft instruments quickly and easily measure these fumigants, highlighting containers with dangerous fumigant levels.

Exposure to toxic fumigants is becoming a major health and safety issue for people tasked with entering shipping containers. Greater understanding of dangers to human health from these noxious compounds is becoming widely known and regulators are increasingly mandating testing regimes and maximum exposure guidelines.
