Detection and quantification of VOCs in ambient air samples has traditionally proved difficult, yet some of the most notorious air pollutants (such as benzene, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and 1,3-butadiene) are VOCs.
Growing public, occupational health and safety and regulatory demand for effective air monitoring programmes has highlighted the need for rapid and accurate VOC detection systems. At Syft we've developed a SIFT-MS system that can rapidly (in seconds) detect and quantify VOCs to the single-digit pptv level, making VOC detection in ambient air samples easy, economical and, for the first time, practical.
